Oh My Rockness

Imagine sitting in a dark room staring at a lava lamp that's infused with "greenies." Ok, done imagining? Sweet. Now listen to Crystal Antlers and you'll like totally, totally get it, brah.

Straight from the muddy banks of Long Beach, California, these five guys are whirring and buzzing it up for their inebriated blend of hyper-psychness (reminds me of The Doors) mixed with some messy punk (reminds me of Richard Hell) and the hectic dancey-ish melodies that are just so now (reminds me of Black Kids, even though technically they were "sooooo five-minutes ago").

Any band that can make dirty '70s guitar riffs and hazy, '60s organ/tambourine solos sound "hot" deserves some online print praise. Somewhere your parents are shaking their heads. It definitely should be noted too that Crystal Antlers put on an insane live show (they've recently honed their stage skills playing with No Age, Matt & Kim, Monotonix and many more as part of the F*ck Yeah Fest).

When they play, they get INTO IT, so look out and watch carefully. They ain't heavy, they Crystal Antlers.
