Oh My Rockness

Brooklyn's Holy Ghost! (unlike many bands, these guys deserve the exclamation punctuation) are an exceptional electro-disco-pop duo that is currently part of the forever dance-y DFA roster (LCD Soundsystem, Hercules and Love Affair, Hot Chip and, well, you know).

Holy Ghost! wrote perhaps my favorite song of the year, "I Will Come Back." Gosh, that's a good song. Every time I listen to it, a party forms in my pants. Wait, did I just say my pants? Shoot, I meant to say France. A party forms in France. France loves partying to really good electro. Just ask Anoraak and Justice.

Anyway, Nick and Alex (formerly of the band Automato and touring/recording members of The Juan Maclean) not only create big time original disco dance jams, but they've done lots of killer remixes (most notably for Phoenix, Cut Copy and MGMT) and are in high demand for their mad production/DJ skills too.

If you like dancing (to vocals!), beat machines, and analog synths, you'll definitely like Holy Ghost! And you're going to REALLY like that song, "I Will Come Back." I guarantee it. It really brightens up my dreary subway commute. Oh, and their jam "Hold On" comes in at a close second.
