Brooklyn's Alex Delivery has a very strange, almost haunting, sound that leaves me feeling uneasy but also wanting more. You know those times when Xiu Xiu really wigs out on the distortion and electro weirdness and you have no idea what's going on? That's the kind of music Alex Delivery makes.

There are off-kilter string solos, strange Krautrock reverberations, and an enigmatic vocalist who sings almost as an afterthought above this eclectic din. Their intriguing debut album, Star Destroyer, comes out soon on Jagjaguwar Records (Black Mountain, Oneida, Wilderness). Spooky shit.
