Brooklyn's Sea Ray play soaring chamber-pop. The sextet relies on cello, viola and keyboards, along with the more traditional guitar, bass and drums to create lush and highly melodic pop songs that are the perfect backdrop for front man Jordan Warner's effortlessly angsty voice.
Sea Ray's sound is shaped by the Britpop days of old with the Godspeed-esque orchestral sounds of now. Their symphonic songs shimmer, sparkle and shoegaze. Call them Radiohead meets Yo La Tengo meets Spiritualized. If you like dreamy pop, this is your band.
