There are lots of good shows going on this week but let's just highlight five because it's not like you have endless procrastination time away from doing much more important things like (your line of work), for example.

Oh My Rockness: keeping it simple since 2004

#1. HINDS - Acerogami + The Echo - Wed/Fri - March 25/27th - 2015 A.D.

Spanish band HINDS (formerly known as deers) were one of the buzzy buzz bands of this year's buzzy SXSW. Two chances to see their sunny fuzzy lo-fi punk this week. Go to one, go to both, so that maybe someday you can say you saw them when.

#2. Palma Violets - The Echo - Wed - March 25th - 2015 A.D.

London's Palma Violets would like to play their polished post something punk for you at The Echo tonight. They've been hyped for a couple years now, but don't fret, there's still time for this band to take over this side of “The Pond," say most of today's leading alterna-ster music blobs. Palma Violets also play BURGERAMA this week but more on that in one thrilling minute.

#3. Plague Vendor - The Smell - Thurs - March 26th - 2015 A.D.

Holy shit, this show is only $5? PUNK ROCK. Bam. Buh-Buh-Buh-Bum. Bam. Buh-Boom-Bam.

#4. JEFF The Brotherhood + Bully - Troubadour - Fri - March 27th - 2015 A.D.

These two (yes, real brothers - no, neither named Jeff) straight shred - which makes it less surprising that they were recently dropped by their Major Label. Since when did Major Labels care about shredding. More like $hredding. Ooh. Sick burn. Nashville's Bully opens and, yes, they shred too.

*JEFF The Brotherhood also play BURGERAMA and I think I'm ready to talk about that now.

#5. BURGERAMA - The Observatory - Sat/Sun - March 28/29th - 2015 A.D.

Burger Records' annual two-day fest is off the chainnnnnnnnnnnnnnn this year. Ty Segall + Weezer + Gang of Four + Beach Fossils + Ariel Pink + The Black Lips + Thee Oh Sees + I haven't even scratched goodness. Check out the full lineup and then for go, for godsake.
