Emotive Jimmy Eat World frontman Jim Adkins plays for a bunch of dead people at Hollywood Forever and good news the living are totally invited too. Get there early or get stuck in The Middle.
#2 Jamie xx - Echoplex - Tuesday - July 28 - 2015 A.D.
Jamie, of the xx family, plays Echoplex. Expect some big time sexy beats and a totally sold-out situation. But if you don't have tickets, that's OK, where there's a will there's a pay.
#3 Melt Banana - The Roxy - Friday - July 31 - 2015 A.D.
Perhaps you'd like to get your face melted off this week? If so, do I have a treat for you. Japan noise band Melt Banana (and TORCHE) play The Roxy and if you don't bring earplugs to this one you're a sick twisted monster and don't want to one day hear the sweet cries of your cute smelly grandchildren. Safety first, yo. Magnets, yo.

You may not be up on LVL UP but you should be (and I should mind my own business) because this new-ish Brooklyn band is really good. Go see them at the small-ish VLHS Warehouse in Pomona this week so one day you can maybe impress someone by saying that you did. The excellent Upset also play. What a day!
