There are many great shows to see in LA this week.
But let's just highlight like five of them.

#1. Swet Shop Boys play Bootleg Theater on Tuesday, November 8
Heems (ex-Das Racist) + Riz MC (Riz Ahmed, but perhaps better known as Nasir “Naz" Khan on HBO's “The Night Of") = Swet Shop Boys.
Think beats. Think rhymes. Think life.
Think praying mantises and airport bullshit and the dude from One Direction and hologram tigers and sensitive thugs.
Think Dizzee Rascal meets The Streets meets _______ meets _____ (insert other dope peeps but from this decade, please).
#2. Tiny Moving Parts play The Hi Hat on Wednesday, November 9
This math-y emo band from Benson, Minnesota released one of my very favorite albums of 2016 A.D. (it's in my top 3). It's so good. Go see Tiny Moving Parts celebrate songs from it at The Hi Hat tonight!
Here's the album in question. Blast it now. I love it.
#3. Morrissey plays UCI on Wednesday, November 9
Don your finest leather pants and throw your best minks around your shoulders because Morrissey plays UCI (Bren Events Center) tonight. I'll bring the pigskin to toss before Moz goes on. You bring the smoked meats.
#4. Kristin Kontrol plays Resident on Thursday, November 11
Dee Dee from Dum Dum Girls is now Kristin Kontrol. Her real first name has always been Kristin. Her real last name has never been Kontrol.
Think cool-as-ice '80s inspired synth pop. Then stop thinking and start dancing!
Nite Jewel also plays this show at Resident.
