((Bicycle Thieves)) Band Profile and Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts - Oh My Rockness

D.C.'s Bicycle Thieves play poppy rock that sounds like Weezer and The Foo Fighers meets Elvis Costello. The heart of their sound is big, catchy guitar hooks that aren't for sad sacks. Recent highlights for this up-and-coming band include a slot at the 2005 Fort Reno concert series (which helped launched the careers of Fugazi, Dismemberment Plan and other great bands) and a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities to go towards the completion of a new EP. Plus, their guitarist is one helluva computer programmer.
