((Channels (J Robbins))) Band Profile and Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts - Oh My Rockness
Channels (J Robbins)
J Robbins, of Jawbox and Burning Airlines (and producer extraordinaire), has a new band and a new album, Channels and Open, respectively. Channels are a trio featuring Robbins, a guy who used to be in Kerosene 454, and Robbins' wife who plays bass and occasionally sings.
Perhaps a tad less accessible than his aforementioned bands, Channels still has plenty of the sing-along choruses and power chords that Robbins is known for. This is high-energy, melodic, rhythmic rock that will appeal to fans of Robbins, Dischord bands, and just plain old straight-up indie rock.
