Corey Mastrangelo is a musician from New Jersey (see also: his excellent math rock band Vasudeva) who makes melodic electric ambient instrumental DIY goodness.

I've listened to his extremely pleasing debut album Long Distance Station to Station a whole bunch since its release late last year and think you might be into it too (because I believe in you), which is why I have conveniently posted the solid record for you below. Please give it several plays. It's a real grower.
