BAND WE LIKE: SOFT PALMS ((dreamy indie sock hop rock))
((Electric Turn to Me)) Band Profile and Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts - Oh My Rockness
Electric Turn to Me
Electric Turn to Me's influences are all over the map. This NYC band (via Germany) have taken the psych-pop of the 60's, the Ziggy Stardust glam of the 70's, and the post-punk guitar bands of the 80's to create their own decidedly theatrical doom-pop sound.
Swirling keyboards and ominous electronics give this band their intended sense of mystery, with choppy guitar tics and skittish drum rolls furthering the band's freak-out. Couple these warbled sounds with singer Silke's German accent and you can imagine this band being the soundtrack to a dynamic Druid dance around Stonehedge. If you like "spooky" music with a little bit of spazz, give Electric Turn to Me a try.
