Dee Dee from Dum Dum Girls is now Kristin Kontrol.

Her real first name has always been Kristin. Her real last name has never been Kontrol.

Think cool-as-ice '80s inspired synth pop.

Then stop thinking and start dancing.

Could these big time jams be played on mainstream radio? You bet!

Does this suck like most of the jams played on mainstream radio? No way!

Like Dum Dum Girls, the little known record label Sup Pop (sp?) is putting out Kristin Kontrol's debut album (maybe it's already out, depending on when you're reading this band profile I never plan on updating just like that five-year-old Dum Dum Girls profile I linked to up above). It's called “X-Communicate" (co-produced by Kurt Feldman of The Ice Choir and formerly The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and also that Pains profile I just linked to is seven years old) and here's a good song from it.
