BAND WE LIKE: TOTAL PLEASURE ((lo-fi dark wave))
((Moving Units)) Band Profile and Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts - Oh My Rockness
Moving Units
LA's Moving Units rely too much on guitar to be considered electro-clash, yet they just can't get the disco beats out of their system enough to be fully considered punk. One thing is for sure, they love to spazz out and keep the crowd teetering on the brink of euphoric insanity.
They are an exhilarating live act, so much so that at a recent show in Brooklyn, a fan ran onto the stage and leaped off with ecstatic abandon. Only problem was this beefy man landed on an unsuspecting hipster and knocked her out cold. The ambulance came... it was a mess. But it was definitely rock and roll.
I guess that's what happens when a band mixes the sounds of Gang of Four with Blondie and a more accessible Liars. Gnarly shit goes down. When you create such an electrifying sound, you're playing with fire.
