BAND WE LIKE: CASINO HEARTS ((classy indie pop))
((Tralala)) Band Profile and Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts - Oh My Rockness
Tralala
NYC's Tralala is a power-pop party band fronted by four female vocalists and backed by three male instrumentalists (who seem to prefer two-to-three chord progressions). This completely fun group who like to sing syllables (you know, ba-ba-dah-dah stuff) would've been the perfect soundtrack to those killer 50's sock hops when the clean-cut kids from Smallstown U.S.A. could, for one night only, twist their inhibitions away on the parquet dance floor.
Tralala sounds like The Bangles covering X-Ray Specs covering The Ramones covering Bill Haley and the Comets. Their music harkens back to simpler times, like the Korean War, racial segregation, the McCarthy hearings and... oh wait, the 50's sucked. But Tralala does not, because their music makes people smile.
