BAND WE LIKE: UPSAMMY ((euphoric electro bubbles))
((Turing Machine)) Band Profile and Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts - Oh My Rockness
Turing Machine
It's been four long years between albums for these three Brooklyn guys. And let me tell you, they still kick major math-rock ass. Perhaps they are a little more psychedelic these days and their songs more "epic" (i.e. long), but I hesitate to mention this lest you think Turing Machine has turned into a jam band. Rather, they write repetitious compositions and systematically punk you out.
As good as they are on album they are even better live. It is a jaw-dropping experience to watch their drummer and bassist play tag team with the rhythm as the high-flying guitar notes soar above the fray. All members are exceptional musicians, making this show an essential lesson in indie musicology.
