"Local Natives invite guests to visit “Café Amarillo at HomeState” on Wednesday, May 8th to raise funds and awareness for homelessness in the area. For one day only, the band will transform the restaurant into ‘Café Amarillo,’ named after their “shimmering” (Stereogum) recent single. During the takeover, guests can order HomeState’s latest Band Taco, The Local Native Taco (potato, bacon, egg, cheddar, jalapeño, pico de gallo on a house made flour tortilla), 100% of the proceeds from which will benefit PATH, a local non-profit whose mission is to end homelessness through affordable supportive housing and supportive services throughout California. The takeover culminates in a charity celebration hosted by the band and includes a special, stripped down, live performance that evening for a limited number of PATH donors who donate $15 or more at HomeState over the course of that day. Local Natives are the latest group to take part in HomeState’s Band Taco Program; past artists include Questlove, Spoon and Sylvan Esso, to name a few."
