Brooklyn buds and stage-sharers with the buzzy people in MGMT, Chairlift and Yeasayer, Amazing Baby is getting plenty of their own hype for their tight and loud live shows. They almost perfectly execute the heavenly and heavy '70s-inspired psych-ness found on their self-released "Invisible Fucking Cross" EP (which is available to download for free on their website).

Amazing Baby just formed in 2007, but already the guitar-heavy five-piece (five, as of this writing anyway... they like to mix those members up!) have hooked up a UK tour with MGMT and played with Bloc Party at the massive Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. You know what they say these days, psych sells.

If ever I were to don a bandana and jump around alone in a forest until I had some sort of epiphany or moment of self-realization (or just to see if a tree makes a sound if it falls), Amazing Baby is the band that I would want as the accompaniment to my strange wilderness dance.
