The Best Shows in LA This Week: Coachella + The Replacements + Built to Spill + Cloud Nothings + Interpol + Perfume Genius + Brand New + Desaparecidos + lots more goodness

There is so much goodness out there this week (thanks Coachella) but don't you let it overwhelm you in the slightest. We'll get you through it.
Please refer to The Rockness Guide to Coachella for a quick and convenient rundown of everything worth seeing at the fest and every show this week directly related to the fest.
In the meantime, here are five super solid show recommendations. They won't lead you astray. Promise. So help me blob.
#1. COACHELLA - Fri/Sat/Sun - April 17/18/19 - 2015 A.D.
Of course. Moving on….
#2. Cloud Nothings - The Echo - Tuesday - April 14 - 2015 A.D.
There might not be a better rock band out there than Cleveland's Cloud Nothings. They were great the very first tour I saw them on in 2010 and they're even better now. This band could take over the world if a.) they wanted to and b.) the world had excellent taste. You should see them at The Echo and I should mind my own business.
#3 The Replacements - Hollywood Palladium - Wed/Thurs - April 15/16
Legendary Minneapolis band The Replacements (born 1979) continue their successful reunion run with two shows at the Hollywood Palladium. Go so that one day you can impressively say at a party that you saw them play. You can bet this band will come up in conversation eventually.
#4. Built to Spill + Desaparecidos + Brand New - Shrine Expo Hall - Wednesday - April 15 - 2015 A.D.
Doug Martsch + Conor Oberst + the dude from Brand New (don't know his name - let's just call him Jude Law) walk into a bar….. This is perhaps a strange trio to be playing together, nevertheless you have the opportunity to see not one, not two, but three good bands at Shrine Expo Hall and here are my three favorite songs by all.
#5. Interpol + Perfume Genius - Shrine Expo Hall - Thursday - April 16 - 2015 A.D.
If Interpol were still stranded in their tour bus by the side of the expressway following that big Buffalo snowstorm, they would have been trapped for 3,023 hours by now. PRAY FOR INTERPOL at Shrine Expo Hall tonight. Perfume Genius opens so be sure to get there early and bring Kleenex. Or, tissues if you like to roll off-brand.
