There are lots of good shows this week but let's just highlight five of them. You know, for fun. Are there more good shows than just this five? Of course. Check out our full list of goodness. I don't care who you see. I just want you to be happy.

Also. Please check out The Rockness Guide to Free Summer Shows in LA because it's cool and we worked really hard on it. Thanks!

#1 Wardell - The Roxy - Tuesday - June 9 - 2015 A.D.

Pop duo Wardell play pleasant sounds you can sing along and dance to. Embrace their brightness and step into the light at The Roxy on Tuesday night.

#2 HOLYCHILD - Troubadour - Wednesday - June 10 - 2015 A.D.

Local big time synth pop duo HOLYCHILDd play Troubadour on Wednesday. RIYL: too too sexy sexxy beats.

Please note: if you can't, don't want to, or are unable to pay, you can go see HOLYCHILD the following day for free at Amoeba. You heard it here FOURTH.

#3 Hamilton Leithauser - Club Bahia - Thursday - June 11 - 2015 A.D.

The Walkmen frontman (yeah, I know they're “broken up" but you can't tell me that excellent band isn't getting back to together at some point - bet you nothing but my pride) Hamilton Leithauser croons Thursday at Club Bahia on Sunset. Don't worry about where that is exactly. Follow the trail of goodness. It'll get you there.

#4 Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Troubadour - Thursday - June 11 - 2015 A.D.

You are probably considering this show (if you're considering anything at all) because Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are playing and that's a right first consideration. They're a mighty fine band indeed but make sure to come early and see openers Teen Men (click that link for more nice things I've written about that band) because they're super solid too.

Please note: this same bill plays The Observatory on Saturday. Cool.

#5 Worriers - The Smell - Sunday - June 14 - 2015 A.D.

Brooklyn's Worriers play super solid lo-fi jingle-jangle punk. They recently signed to the excellent label Don Giovanni and are worth checking out at The Smell Sunday night if you're the type interesting in checking out good bands.

Other notable shows this week = Evan Voytas at Bootleg + D'Angelo at Club Nokia + Tennis System at The Echo + Sam Prekop at The Hotel Cafe + Yelawolf at The Fonda + Guy Blakeslee at The Echo + Midnight Magic at Echoplex + Great Lake Swimmers at Troubadour + Joey Bada$ at The Fonda
