Let's talk about good shows. Please remember, if a show happening this week in the greater (sweeter) LA area isn't mentioned in this article that means that show totally sucks. JK. #1 Oberhofer - Bardot - Monday - June 22 - 2015 A.D.

Super solid Brooklyn hit maker, (Brad) Oberhofer, rolls into town to play a free show (w/ RSVP) at Bardot. You're gonna like this band's super solid hooks. I guarantee it.*

#2 Lolipalooza 2 - Echoplex - Saturday - June 27 - 2015 A.D.

Before Perry Farrell or whoever eventually gets around to maybe suing for trademark infringement, Lolipop Records' Lolipalooza returns to Echoplex for another year. A whole bunch of bands are playing including White Fence + Winter + like 25 more or something I counted all of the bands playing this day/night fest super quickly. Tickets still available. Please note before you buy: this is not Lollapalooza. Amen.

#3 Braids - The Lyric Theatre - Saturday - June 27 - 2015 A.D.

Grand Montreal band, Braids, play their euphorically dramatic synth pop HITS at The Lyric. Let's go feel the feels and leave feeling better. Or, just stay at home on the couch and continue to feel like shit. Either way is totally chill.

#4 Best Coast - The Wiltern - Saturday - June 27 - 2015 A.D.

Everybody loves Best Coast because Best Coast is the best so you've surely already made plans to go to this excellent show at The Wiltern tonight however please do whatever it takes to show up early enough to see Bully because Bully is also the best and I just saw both bands play in Brooklyn and they were great so I think I know that of which I blob about this time.

#5 Devendra Banhart - LACMA - Saturday - June 27 - 2015 A.D.

The most modern of modern day troubadours, Devendra Banhart, talks about his rock steady music career (drink a shot every time he's asked about “freak folk"), his new book, and his art at LACMA today. Thankfully, he will also play some songs with his band too. Because it's always been about the music, man. Free w/ RSVP. LACMA and San Dimas high school football RULES.
