This is a really good week for good shows and I would like to spend a quick couple moments of your procrastination time discussing them if that's good with you.

Cool. Let's do it.

#1 Blur + Courtney Barnett - Hollywood Bowl - Tuesday - October 20 - 2015 A.D.

You're probably going to this (if you're going to this) for Blur. What's not to love about those British lads coming 'round again. If you can't have Oasis (because you couldn't get The Beatles) it might as well be Blur in an idyllic Hollywood Bowl setting. Be sure to show up early (or at least on time) for Courtney Barnett because Courtney Barnett is the CHILLEST.

#2 Bully - The Echo - Wednesday - October 21 - 2015 A.D.

Nashville's Bully is one of the best rock bands playing the game today and as an added bonus, singer/songwriter Alicia Bognanno has one of the best rockstar voices. In summation, they destroy and you should go see them at The Echo. Heat and The Lovely Bad Things open. They're good too.

(Bully also play The Observatory on Tuesday. You can see them there instead if you want. I don't care where you see them. I just want you to be happy)

#3 Small Black - The Roxy - Friday - October 23 - 2015 A.D.

Small Black has been slinging the pop goodness for years and things have moved from chill to exquisite. See them play songs from their excellent new album “Best Blues" at The Roxy. And then go buy that album.

#4 Beach Goth 4 - The Observatory - Saturday - October 24 - 2015 A.D.

Beach Goth is at it again. The Observatory hosts installment #4 of this epic good time. Who's playing this time? So glad you asked. Grimes, Julian Casablancas, Die Antwoord, Mac DeMarco, Drowners and Allah-lahs are playing this time. There are more good bands playing this time too. I just got tired of typing. #5 DIIV + No Joy + Sunflower Bean - The Roxy - Saturday - October 24 - 2015 A.D.

DIIV was one of the other bands playing Beach Goth 4 but if you don't like daylight because you're a vampire you can see them at The Roxy later on Saturday with No Joy and Sunflower Bean and God loves fangs.
