This is a very good week for shows. But let's just highlight five of them. For fun.

For all of this week's Rockness recommended shows please go here and delight in what you'll find.

#1 Beach House - Five Shows This Week - Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat - December 7/8/9/10/11/12 - 2015 A.D.

Beach House, a band that recently released two (2) new albums within six weeks of each other, knows there are no half measures. The big time Baltimore band plays five (5) shows this week. Four (4) are at The Fonda but the first (1) is happening Monday at The Observatory. All of these shows are probably sold-out at this point but you never know and where there's a will there's a pay.

#2 Kamasi Washington - Club Nokia - Thursday - December 10 - 2015 A.D.

“The second coming of Coltrane," that's what we say. L.A.'s finest jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington brings his super dope horn blowing skills to Club Nokia on Thursday and it's going to be EPIC.

#3 Best Coast - The Regent Theater - Thursday - December 10 - 2015 A.D.

Best Coast headlines a FREE (w/ RSVP) Spin party at The Regent Tonight with Alex G (he's good) and Tink and a DJ set by YACHT and Best Coast is the best.

#4 Death Cab For Cutie- Orpheum Theatre - Thursday - December 10 - 2015 A.D.

Dear DCFC,

Thank you for writing this song.

Your pal,

Rockness

#5 Animal Collective (DJ set) - The Echo - Sunday - December 13 - 2015 A.D.

Animal Collective is coming out with a new album soon (perhaps you heard it in the Baltimore airport?) so the members are sure to be in a festive “well, that's a relief!" mood when they do a DJ set at The Echo on Sunday. Will they spin new songs from that new album or simply sounds by other peeps? No idea. You can do your own research and let me know. Thanks, bud.

Other notable shows this week = HEALTH at Teragram Ballroom + Connan Mockasin at Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock + Dan Croll at The Echo + The Weeknd at The Forum + The Dears at Bootleg + Ezra Furman at The Echo + Gothic Tropic at The Satellite + Kelela at El Rey + Dent May at No Vacancy + Plague Vendor at The Observatory + The Juan Maclean at Los Globos + Alex Bleeker & The Freaks at The Echo + Armor for Sleep at The Roxy

Thank you for going to good shows. Have fun out there.
