Because with a name like Rat Fist they gotta be good.

#3 Barry Johnson & Frances Quinlan - Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock - Thursday - January 14 - 2016 A.D.
Barry Johnson and Frances Quinlan are members of two of the better bands playing the game today (Joyce Manor and Hop Along, respectively). See them do their sweet solo thing at Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock on Thursday.
#4 Sun Kil Moon - The Regent Theater - Thursday - January 14 - 2016 A.D.
Oh, whatsoever will that pesky Mark Kozelek say between his beautiful songs THIS time. See Sun Kil Moon at The Regent on Thursday and find out. Hard to believe the dude who made one of the best Christmas albums of recent times (especially this jam) also wrote a song called “War on Drugs: Suck My Cock" but I guess he's on his own journey, man.
