Come for the ennui soaked indie pop sounds of Waxahatchee and stay for a screening of Terrence Malick's 1978 cinematic classic "Days of Heaven." It's a (good) band and a (good) movie, man.
#2 Burger Records + The Observatory 5 Year Anniversary - The Observatory - All Week - 2016 A.D.

#3 Animal Collective - The Fonda - Tues/Wed - March 8/9 - 2016 A.D.
The mighty Animal Collective play two shows at The Fonda this week (I think I can smell the Mari-Huana already) and they're both sold-out so I really hope you got tickets but if you didn't please remember the Golden Rule: where there's a will - there's a pay. Good luck. I'm in your corner. You can do it. I believe in you. (I'd give you my +1 but I already promised it to Billy Bong Thornton, man.)

Swedish singer/songwriter Jose Gonzalez plays the music of Donald Duck at Walt Disney Concert Hall tonight. Just kidding about Donald Duck. Please don't go expecting to hear the music of a cartoon duck, no matter how cute and irascible he may be. That was just an online joke to keep this really great weekly digital feature #light. Mr. Gonzalez will be playing his own material which concerns a mouse named Mickey.
