Tiny Moving Parts is a post ___ emo math punk pop band (or however you want to classify them, really) band from Benson, Minnesota* and they're really good.

These guys (brothers Matthew and Billy Chevalier and their cousin Dylan Mattheisen) have been around for a bit now, having released three albums and a few EPs since forming somewhere circa 2008, but I'm just getting into them now. I don't know why I missed the boat. I just did. It happens. If you've loved this band for the last 8 years or whatever you can skip the rest of this profile because you already know everything and I'm very happy for you. For the rest of you, let's keep talking about a really good band.

As of this writing (11:15am in the Year That I'm Writing This A.D) Tiny Moving Parts just released their brand new album called “Celebrate" and it's really good. Think early era _____ meets late era ______ meets the triumphant reunion tour of ______ meets songs that sound good and you should be on the right track. Listen to a few rippers from it right now. It's cool. I'll wait.

Well? What did you think? Pretty good, right? How about those dueling vocals, though! I know!

Here's what's the best about Tiny Moving Parts: not only do they punk out to crazy rhythms and sick pretty twinkles, but as an added bonus you can also loudly sing along to these super sing-along-able songs at the show or in the street or the shower (or wherever you like to sing, really). That's the emo part, man.

I'm glad you just enjoyed listening to a bit of “Celebrate" but if you don't mind I'm going to ask you to circle back a couple years (what was 2014 A.D. even LIKE, man???) and blast their album before that one. It's called “Pleasant Living" and I love it.

So good!

Anyway, that's Tiny Moving Parts! If you've already been loving them for like 8 years or something I'm very happy for you. If you're new to this good band too and your taste trajectory is anything like mine I wish you the best of luck blasting nothing else but this band for the next week or two.
