There are many dope shows in LA this week

(click this list if u don't believe me and then hit me back with "my bad, blob" or something like that).

Let's only talk about 5 of them, though.

Too many choices lead to headaches and couches.

#1. Wilco - The Theatre at Ace - Tues/Wed/Thurs - Sept 13/14/15 - 2016 A.D.

Dad Rock is alive and well (except for the general aches and pains of middle age). Three chances to see Wilco this week.

Don't forget to wear your funny hats, Dads! (SHOW INFO // TICKETS)

#2. Death Grips - The Observatory - Wednesday - September 14 - 2016 A.D.

What could possibly go wrong at a Death Grips show. This band seems so stable!

RIYL: Trainwrecks

(SHOW INFO // TICKETS)

#3. Porches - Echoplex - Friday - September 16 - 2016 A.D.

Not just Porches (who rule) playing this good show but Japanese Breakfast (also of the ruling family) and Rivergazer (definitely very rule-y) too.

Come early. Stay late. Tell 'em Rockness sent ya. (SHOW INFO // TICKETS)

#4. CRX - Troubadour - Saturday - September 17 - 2016 A.D.

Nick from The Strokes' new band.

Please note: leave your Strokes shirt at home.

Don't be that guy.

(SHOW INFO // TICKETS)

#5. Kraftwerk (3D) - Hollywood Bowl - Sunday - September 18 - 2016 A.D.

Kraftwerk? In 3-D? At the Hollywood Bowl? Forget a good show, this one just might lead you to see the oneness of all things, man. (SHOW INFO // TICKETS)

Other notable shows this week in LA = Cass McCombs at Teragram + Petty Fest at The Fonda + Jamie Lidell at The Echo + Joseph at Troubadour + Grouplove at Amoeba Records (free) + Clams Casino at The NoVo + Entrance at Resident + Prophets of Rage at The Forum + Dawes at Hollywood Forever + Local Natives at The Greek Theatre
