There are lots and lots and lots of good shows in LA this week (see below)

Let's quickly only highlight five of them, though, so we can all hurry to these venues and get on with the first day of the rest of our lives.

#1: CHVRCHES and Best Coast at Hollywood Forever - October 3 & 4

Two of the best bands play two nights in a cemetery and people are DYING to get in!

#2: Yusuf (Cat Stevens) at Pantages - October 6 & 7

Yusuf (Cat Stevens) plays his first LA shows in a million years on Thursday and Friday at Pantages.

#3: S U R V I V E at Echoplex - October 6

S U R V I V E (the two Texas masterminds behind the S U P E R D O P E “Stranger Things" score) play their electronic synth magic at Echoplex. Don't get scared. The upside-down world is only pretend! (But if all the lights suddenly start blinking for no reason get the ____ outta there!)

#4: Tycho at The Fonda Theatre - October 6 & 7

Have you listened to Tycho's brand new album? You can (stream the whole thing below). You should. It's so good!

See the chillest band in the land play songs from it (and other old jams you already love so hard) at The Fonda Thursday and/or Friday.

#5: Desert Trip at Empire Polo Club - October 7,8,9 & 14,15,16

Take a flier on some rising up-and-coming young talent over at the old Empire Polo Club this weekend and next. The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan and Roger Waters and Neil Young and Paul McCartney and The Who will all try and make a name for themselves.
