Let's talk about five good shows in LA this week!

There are more than just these five shows going on, though.

Here's the full list of good shows this week (and beyond).

1. Sweden's El Perro Del Mar (led by Sarah Assbring) plays The Echo on Tuesday, November 22nd (tickets). Solid sad songs for all kinds of lovers.

2. British electro popsters Hot Chip spin the deep cut jams at Avalon w/ Holy Ghost! on Saturday, November 26th (tickets). No requests for “Boy From School" or “Over and Over" or “Colours" or “Shake a Fist" or “Ready For The Floor," please. Great jams, to be sure, but that would just be weird.

3. No Wave legend Lydia Lunch (poet / singer / writer / actor / speaker / ARTIST) does a free show at Ham & Eggs on Saturday, November 26th.

4. Kool Keith -- one of the world's greatest living rappers (disagree w/ me? please call 1-800-PP5-1-DooDoo) -- brings his legendary flow to The Belasco on Saturday, November 26th (tickets).

5. Seu Jorge presents “The Life Aquatic: A Tribute to David Bowie" at The Theatre at Ace on Saturday, November 26th and Sunday, November 27th, and Monday, November 28th (tickets).

Other notable shows in LA this week = The Mystery Lights at Bootleg + Reggie Watts and Karen at El Cid + Jai Wolf at The Observatory + Porter Robinson and Madeon at Shrine Auditorium
