1. Sylvan Esso play a free show at Amoeba Music on Monday, April 24th

Durham's finest indie pop duo play a free early evening show.

A fine way to start another week, don't you think?

This blob sure does.

2. Cold War Kids play The Grammy Museum on Monday, April 24th

"Now hang me up to dry!"

*please note: the Cold War Kids song quoted above is now 10 years old

Chamber indie pop straight outta Brooklyn.

Come for the theory. Stay for the beats.

6. The Magnetic Fields play Royce Hall (UCLA) on Thursday, April 27th (tickets) and Friday, April 28th (tickets)

If you manage to get tickets to either of these two Magnetic Fields shows (the band's first LA dates in like five years!) you'll be the luckiest guy on the Lower East Side...if that's where you lived.

Stephin Merritt and crew forever!

7. The Zombies play The Grammy Museum on Thursday, April 27th

One of my favorite bands ever, man.

If you somehow missed out on this British band's hard jingle jangle pop goodness that's OK shit happens.

Start with either this album or this album. I love them like they were my own records.
