Air: Influential French Electronic Duo

Greek Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)

Sunday June 25, 2017 / 8:00pm | Tickets from $30 - 27% off!

French electronic duo Air bring their atmospheric soundscapes to the Greek Theatre. Nicolas Godin and Jean-BenoƮt Dunckel first hit it big with their debut album, "Moon Safari", and its hit single "Sexy Boy," which paved the way for the burgeoning downtempo genre. They came to even greater attention when Sofia Coppola tapped them to compose the moody soundtrack for "The Virgin Suicides". Drawing on everyone from Kraftwerk and Brian Eno to Philip Glass to the Beatles and Pink Floyd, Air have created an influential sound of their own, sometimes called "space rock." Last year, the duo released a retrospective collection, "Twentyears", and now Godin and Dunckel are coming to Los Angeles to play a night of their best-known tracks. Lo Moon opens the show.

10,000 Maniacs Former Lead Singer Natalie Merchant ("Because of the Night") at The Greek

Greek Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)

Sunday July 16, 2017 / 8:00pm | Tickets from $39.50 - 41% off

Throughout the many lives of Natalie Merchant -- as lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs in the '80s, as the platinum-plated solo act in the '90s, as one of the new millennium's most ambitious and avant-garde musicians -- one thing has remained the same: her uncompromising artistry. With a voice that quivers with a rare emotional intensity (and intelligence), Merchant inflects every song with poetry and power, lifting hits like "Because the Night," "Carnival," "Wonder" and "Jealousy" to the level of art. Now this consummate artist appears live at the Greek Theatre.

Daryl Hall & John Oates and Tears For Fears With Allen Stone

STAPLES Center (Los Angeles, CA)

Saturday July 29, 2017 / 7:00pm | Tickets from $59.50

Know-by-heart hits like "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" and "Maneater" have helped establish Daryl Hall and John Oates as one of the highest-selling duos in music history. This summer, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees hit the road once again, sharing a bill with yet another timeless, chart-topping duo, British pop legends Tears For Fears. When the tour pulls into L.A., expect to hear long-time Hall & Oates fans drown out the headliners themselves as they sing along to classic tracks like "Kiss on My List" and "Sara Smile." Meanwhile, Tears for Fears will prove their staying power when they launch into platinum-selling singles like "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," "Shout" and "Mad World." This Staples Center concert also features a special acoustic performance by opening act, soul star Allen Stone.

Ms. Lauryn Hill & Nas

Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA)

Thursday October 5, 2017 / 6:30pm | Tickets from $37 - 25% off

Two of the most powerful voices in hip hop take the stage at the Hollywood Bowl for a landmark concert, as Ms. Lauryn Hill and Nas perform live at this historic venue. Lauryn Hill first rose to prominence as a member of the Fugees, with her vocals on "Killing Me Softly" making that song a chart-topping hit, before branching out for a solo career anchored by "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill", one of the biggest selling rap records of all-time. Nas burst onto the scene as a teenager with his magnum opus, "Illmatic", and ranks among the top MCs of all-time thanks to his amazing flow and storytelling abilities, which are captured over a series of powerful albums and singles. They'll be joined by rising reggae artist Chronixx and other guests.
