20 Good Shows To See in LA This Week

June 19 - June 25 / 2017 A.D.

1. The Black Lips at The Observatory on Tuesday, June 20th. And Friday, June 23rd at The Regent Theater.

Atlanta's The Black Lips consistently blast one of the best live shows in the live music game.

Few bands do grimy garage better.

So help me blob.

2. Aldous Harding at The Echo on Thursday, June 22nd.

Gothic acid folk straight outta New Zealand!

Aldous Harding makes moody goodness that gets under your skin and chills for awhile.

So good.

3. !!! (chk chk chk) play ECHOPLEX on Thursday, June 22nd.

One of the best dance party bands for the past twenty years.

Going to see !!! is never the wrong move.

CLASSIC CHK CHK CHK JAM TIME.

4. Girlpool at The Glass House on Thursday, June 22nd.

Have you heard Girlpool's new album? It rules. You should listen to it a hundred times ASAP.

And then go see them play songs from it at The Glass House.

Snail Mail opens. ❤️

RIYL: bands that rule

5. Anoraak plays The Standard, Downtown LA on Friday, June 23rd.

Listen to this CLASSIC EPIC DANCE JAM (circa 2008 A.D.) from this excellent French producer / DJ / musician.

Tell me it doesn't make you want to go to this show.

Please note: there are many more JAMS where this one came from.

Anoraak got the big time beats!

6. La Luz at The Getty on Saturday, June 24th.

Free La Luz show at The Getty.

Spread the weirdo word.

(check out our giant free summer shows list for more good free shows like this one)

Peep playing this jam out near the Rose Bowl include Tom Petty, Alabama Shakes, Mumford & Sons, Dawes, Charles Bradley, The Shins, Andrew Bird, Fitz and the Tantrums and Weezer to name just a few.

And Broken Social Scene too.

9. Seu Jorge at Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, June 25th.

Got plans for June 25th already?

Ch-ch-ch-ch-change them.

Seu Jorge does "The Life Aquatic, A Tribute to David Bowie" at The Bowl and it's going to rule.

10. Air at The Greek Theatre on Sunday, June 25th.
