Guess who's coming?

B-b-b-back again.

Who is he?

This is one of my f avorite albums of the year so far.

Just thought you should know.

5. Gin Blossoms play a free show at The Grove on Wednesday, July 19th.

I just want you to know, dear Rockness reader, that anywhere you go I'll follow you down.

But not THAT far.

Just had to put that little disclaimer. I'm not gonna fall into a well for you or anything.

Anyway, this Gin Blossoms show is free. Do you know what rhymes with free?

Hey Jealousy.

This stuff writes itself.

6. Allah-Las play a free show at The Standard Hollywood.

Speaking of free shows, this show is free too.

Praise 2 Allah-Las!

BTW, have you check out our guide to free summer shows in LA?

Please do that at your earliest convenience (or at the very least before fall).

7. Sufjan Stevens & pals present Planetarium at Hollywood Forever on Thursday, July 20th.

Right now we are all on a giant round rock that's spinning in space.

And we're not falling off.

Hope "Subaru" Stevens and his buds can help make sense of it.

This show under the stars shall rule.

8. Zola Jesus plays a free show at MOCA Thursday, July 20th.

Free Zola Jesus show at MOCA!

For more good free summer shows like this one, again you really should look at The Rockness Guide to Free Summer Shows in LA.

9. Third Eye Blind play The Greek Theatre on Thursday, July 20th.

I guess this show makes the list even though there might be a little revisionist history with some of these '90s radio bands going on.

But Silversun Pickups is also playing this one. So that helps.

By the way, Semi-Charmed Life is funnest summer song about the addles of drug addiction everrrrrrrr!

10. Kool & the Gang play Hollywood Bowl on Friday, July 21st and Saturday, July 22nd.

Somebody should really think to play “Celebration" at their wedding reception.
