5. Daddy Issues at El Rey Theatre on Friday, September 15th.

Daddy Issues is a good band from Nashville. They open this show.*

They play '90s inspired grunge pop that the alt station on FM radio would be wise to recognize.

*show headlined by together PANGEA w/ The Side Eyes & Tall Juan also playing

6. Hall and Oates / Tears For Fears at Staples Center on Thursday, September 14th / Friday, September 15th.

This show that was supposed to happen a few months ago is finally happening again.

Hall and Oates and Tears For Fears sharing the stage in 2017 A.D.

It's a mad world, rich girl.

7. The Church at The Fonda Theatre on Friday, September 15th.

Here's a good deep cut by The Church (one of the more underrated gaze-y rock bands to come out of the '80s).

Wait for the 2:27 part, please.

8. Black Kids at Echoplex on Saturday, September 16th.

This Black Kids jam (huge jam - HUGE) is now 9 years old.
