20 Good Shows To See in LA This Week!
September 19 - September 25 / 2017 A.D.
1. PUP at Moroccan Lounge on Tuesday, September 19th.
The first public show at brand new Arts District music venue Moroccan Lounge and it's a GOOD one.
Simply put, PUP is one of the very funnest live bands playing the game today. BET.
(I don't care if funnest is officially recognized as a word or not. Using it anyway. That's how much PUP rules.)
This. Is.
The. Punk. Rock.
2. Future Islands at The Greek Theatre on Tuesday, September 19th.
'Cause I've been waitin' on you....
...to ask me to be your +1 to this show.
Japanese Breakfast is a good band.
Mannequin Pussy is a good band.
The Spirit of the Beehive is a good band.
Go to this show if you like going to see good bands.
4. Iron and Wine at The Grammy Museum on Friday, September 22nd.
Please, remember me.
Happily.
By the rosebush laughing.
Sam Beam the poet plays a pretty small show (for him) at The Grammy Museum.
Dude deserves all the awards.
5. Beach House at The Observatory on Friday, September 22nd.
Beach House > vacations
6. This Will Destroy You at The Sanctuary at Pico-Union on Friday, September 22nd.
This show will save you.
This Will Destroy You rules.
Forever and ever.
Amen.
7. Fleet Foxes at Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, September 23rd.
This is the #1 most popular upcoming show on the blob!
Fleet Foxes must work out.
8. Solange at Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, September 24th.
The #4 most popular upcoming LA show on the blob!
Save it using "My Rockness" and let's see how high Solange can climb.
9. Swervedriver at Teragram Ballroom on Sunday, September 24th.
These loud shoegaze-y rock vets (with the best band name in the business) play their classic albums "Raise (1991) and "Mezcal" (1993) in full.
BTW, I saw Swervedriver open for Smashing Pumpkins once.
10. Grizzly Bear at Zebulon on Sunday, September 24th.
