20 Good Shows To See in LA This Week!
October 31st - November 6th / 2017 A.D.
1. Halloween Shows & Parties at Various Scary Venues
Lots of solid Halloween shows and parties to show off your hilarious on-point topical costumes this year.
Check out our Halloween Shows & Parties page for a good list of options.
2. Weezer at Amoeba Music (free show) on Wednesday, November 1st.
Come sit next to me, pour yourself some tea, and listen to this:
"Weezer is playing a free show at Amoeba on Wednesday."
A ticket costs only your mind.
3. Black Heart Procession at The Wayfarer on Wednesday, November 1st and at The Echo on Thursday, November 2nd.
A good semi-goth indie rock band from San Diego since circa FOREVER.
RIYL: Touch & Go / Temporary Residence / Good Bands
4. Hazel English at House of Blues (The Parish) on Wednesday, November 1st.
Oakland, CA (via Sydney, AU) resident Hazel English released one of my favorite albums of the year.
It's excellent lo-fi breeze pop.
Listen to it below and you'll hear what I mean.
Then go see her play it live!
File Under: C-H-I-L-L
5. Daniel Johnston at Orpheum Theatre on Thursday, November 2nd.
Speaking of lo-fi..... the lo-fi legend returns.
Daniel Johnston playing the Orpheum!
If you've never heard his masterful cult 1983 album "Hi, How Are You" (also the name of this final tour), fix that wrong right now.
