I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile. I'm sorry it took me so long to profile Pile.

I actually wrote all that shit out. Didn't copy and paste the same sentence. No the fuck way. Because I have penance to pay. You see, here it is __________ A.D. and today is the first day I've officially prepared a profile for Boston's Pile. I don't know what's wrong with me. I guess life just got in the way. These punks have been slinging the punk sludge bendy guitar goodness in basements, bars, rec rooms, mud rooms, warehouses, farmhouses, hen houses, outhouses, and doghouses in the greater New England area and beyond for YEARS.

It is often said by the many music blobs that have profiled Pile before me (I think I've apologized enough for that) that this band is a band's band. I'd like to share a similar sentiment but tweak it a bit. Pile is the band behind the band behind the band behind the band behind the band behind the band BEHIND the band. Basically, every band Pile has ever played with* sweats them, from then on, forever. They won't shut up about it. And why should they. Shout loudly for the best of things, that's what I always say, and PILE IS A VERY GOOD THING.

(Please note: Pile has played with a lot of good bands. Just this year in New York alone they've played with Yazan + Cayetana + Solids + Krill + Baked + Vulture Shit + this is even more impressive considering it's only the month of ________ and those are just the bands I've profiled before I profiled Pile and why can't you forgive me?)

If you're just catching the wave and want to embrace the choice of a new generation you have have plenty of Pile releases to dig into on the World Wide Intrasphere. But I'm going to post their most recent album directly below these dynamic words. Might as well as start with the now before crawling back to the past which is the beginning of everything, even the light. Enjoy the journey.

File Under: Rick Maguire (vox + words + sounds) + Matt Connery (bass) + Kris Kuss (drums) + Matt Becker (guitars)
