Let's talk about five chill shows happening this week. Pick which ones you're interested in going to and then let me know what time you'll be picking me up as I don't #drive or have #friends.

I luv U.

#1. Ty Segall - The Satellite - Tuesday - April 21 - 2015 A.D.

Bay Area shredder Ty Segall (click that if you're the type that likes reading six-year-old band profiles) is mixing it up for this gig tonight. He's going solo and acoustic. Will he also wear a Kurt Cobain sweater, sing through his unkempt mop of blonde, and rub his chin a lot? Better get to The Satellite and see for yourself. IT'S TY SEGALL: UNPLUGGED.

#2. Frameworks - The Echo - Wednesday - April 22 - 2015 A.D.

Gainesville's Frameworks are a noisy punk band with plenty of pretty melodies floating above the fray and they're really good. Go see them at The Echo if you like seeing loud bands that will inch you closer to some type of transcendence. But listen to their solid album “Loom" first. I just copied and pasted it for you below these words because it's super #good and I'm always doing sweet things like that.

#3. Faith No More - The Wiltern - Wed/Thurs/Fri - April 22/23/24 - 2015 A.D.

The legendary indescribable band (so who am I to try?) Faith No More play three shows at The Wiltern (and another one at The Observatory on Saturday) and they will undoubtedly shred many songs off their new album “Sol Invictus" - their first new album in 18 (!) years. But in my mind the following song is the jam that made them legendary - it's so good it's indescribable…. so who am I to try?

#4. Somos - The Glass House - Thursday - April 23 - 2015 A.D.

Melodic Boston punks Somos put out what I thought was one of the very best albums of 2014. Without a doubt. It's called “Temple of Plenty" and you can listen to the whole thing right below these words. Everybody I have ever played it for has loved it. Don't ruin my streak. And after you love it consider going to see them open the action at The Glass House. Listen first and you can sing along to every song by then, easy.

*Somos also play two days before at The Roxy.

#5. Delicate Steve - Bootleg - Friday - April 24 - 2015 A.D.

New Jersey's Delicate Steve (led by uber-talented multi-instrumental Steve Marion) play Bootleg and the following song contains all of life's hidden meanings and complicated-not-complicated secrets I'm sure of it. Please note: “Butterfly" works best if you blaze and blast it.

Other notable shows this week = Turbo Fruits at The Roxy + Matt Pond PA at Troubadour + Fuzz at El Rey + Yo La Tengo at Hollywood Forever + Reptar at Bootleg + Roses at Jewels Catch One + Upset at The Echo + Julianna Barwick at The Getty + Kaiser Chiefs at The Wiltern + Tony Molina at Loyola Marymount + Dead Milkmen at Troubadour + all this goodness!
