There are a BUNCH of really good shows this week. I don't know why. South by So What, maybe.

Let's talk about five of these good shows right quick. But be sure to stick around for the “other notable shows this week" section below because all the musical goodness going on just might blow your mind to Mars, man.

#1 Weezer (free) - Red Bull Sound Space at KROQ - Tuesday - March 22 - 2016 A.D.

Weezer (I think I've heard of them) play a free show at some Red Bull pop-up space or something on Tuesday. You had to RSVP if you want to go. This is the new Weezer video that has the 'damn Daniel' dudes in it for some reason. What, was Hurley unavailable?

#2 At the Drive-In (reunion) - The Fonda - Wednesday - March 23 - 2016 A.D.

Speaking of old, At the Drive-In are back at it again with the reuniting emo bands. They play The Fonda (which I first spelled The Fonday before just correcting it but I think I like The Fonday better) on Wednesday and The Observatory the night before.

#3 Sunflower Bean - The Echo - Thursday - March 24 - 2016 A.D.

NYC's Sunflower Bean is the dopest band. You should see them immediately or, at the very least, on Thursday at The Echo. Weaves opens. They're dope too.

#4 Joanna Newsom - The Orpheum Theatre - Friday/Saturday - March 25/26 - 2016 A.D.

Joanna Newsom plays her first headlining shows in LA in almost 6 years at The Orpheum on Friday and Saturday. She's good. Go see her. There shall be harps. Always. Forever. Amen.

#5 Citizen - The Teragram Ballroom - Friday - March 25 - 2016 A.D.

This whole lineup is SICK. If you like the melodic punk rock (I do!) this is the show for you this week. Citizen + Turnover + Sorority Noise + Milk Teeth play Teragram on Friday (and The Glass House on Wednesday). Come early. Stay late. Stacked bill. All around. So help me blob.
