The 10 Hardest Working Bands in L.A.

Every year we list LOTS of shows for LOTS of bands by hand. And by LOTS we mean LOTS and LOTS and LOTS. And we can’t help but notice when some bands seem to consistently make their way onto our music blob (via the World Wide IntraSphere network) with persistent regularity.
Rather than just guess at it, we decided to crunch some numbers, work some hard figures, and pull some real time truth data in order to determine which 10 bands had the most shows listed on Oh My Rockness LA in 2014. The dynamic results are listed below.
Presenting…. The 10 Hardest Working Bands in LA.
It takes hustle. It takes heart.
#1 Girlpool - 26 LA shows in 2014
The super solid singer/songwriter punk duo of Harmony Tividad + Cleo Tucker absolutely owned 2014. Not only did they play 26 shows (that we listed) in the LA area, they played a zillion times at CMJ in NYC and who knows how many dates they played in the different states in between. Good for Girlpool. They're solid - but we already told you that.
Bands they played with: Upset, OFF!, !!! (chk chk chk)
Most-played venues: The Smell, Pehrspace, The Echo
#2 Cherry Glazerr - 22 LA shows in 2014
Coming in wearing the invisible silver medal around their neck are instantly likeable lo-fi wonder punks Cherry Glazerr. You should click their name to read more about their goodness. And we should mind our own business.
Bands they played with: Sky Ferreira, Liars, FIDLAR
Most-played venues: The Echo, The Observatory, The Church On York
#3 Corners - 21 LA shows in 2014

#4 Roses - 21 LA shows in 2014
Roses play swirling sunshine pop. But you probably already guessed that. This band's name is Roses. We told you wayyyyy back in July what we thought of these guys. We've been onto Roses' goodness for five months strong which in music blob years is like thirteen dog years. Oh My Rockness = O.G.
Bands they played with: Dum Dum Girls, Puro Instinct, Tanlines
Most-played venues: Bootleg, The Echo, The Glass House
#5 Mr. Elevator and the Brain Hotel - 20 LA shows in 2014

Garage rockster popsters Criminal Hygiene make easy breezy sweaty sloppy drinking anthems that I'm sure you can still enjoy while remaining substance free. Probably. You can test that theory if you want.
